(Will you use a Matrix kerbord or the Serial bus for the control ?
How many motors will you use ?
How many floor ? )

What you need to acquire first is the logic diagram of a certain elevator system.

It is like designing a traffic management system but much simpler.

Do you want someone to write it for you? Sounds like a homework assignment, you're supposed to figure it out. The 8051 is very old, should be lots of code examples on the net.

Hint, try drawing a flowchart to help visualize the program.
