Hi

Please help with Microwave office.

If you have made a coupled-line filter in MWO (Microwave Office), with physical line lengt, witdh and spacing.
Is there a way to make an EM simulation of the filter by some how import it into EMsight?

Or do you have to draw the filter by yourself?
I know t is easy to generate a layout, but this is not directly lionked to the EM simulation, like in with ADS.

If anybody know how please help.

Regards

Hello tyassin,

Yes AWR Microwave Office has the capability to build EM structure from MWO schematic/layouts automatically using the EM Extraction feature...
Unique capability about this EM extraction it not only supports AWR EMSight EM simulator & also the 3rd party popular EM tools such as Sonnet em, VectorFields Concerto, Zeland IE3d, CST MWS etc....

It just takes very simple 3 steps....
For more information on the EM Extraction example, please go through the installation folder...i.e ..\AWR\AWR2007\Examples\Microwave_Office\Features\EM_Extraction\Extract_Example.emp

I have also attached is a simple BPF example to show the EM extraction using AWR MWO....

Hello Manju,

Ahhh yes exactly what I was looking for. Could not imagine MWO not being able to do this.
I had already looked in the example and feature folders, but did not think of it as an extraction, but of course.

Thank you for the help.

Regards

Hello sir,
1.i had been designing a direct coupled band pass filter and tried to minimize it by using capacitive loading i did the em structure for the conventional design but for the minimized circuit i am not able to add the capacitor to the em structure and i am stuck here for more than 2 weeks so please help me to do the em structure in em sight(in the book attached i referred the page 151 and used the example sum )
2. And sir please help me in generating the gerber file sir
waiting for your reply... Sorry to disturb you but i really need your help
thanking you
yours truly,
adeline
