i all

when i implement an example in CST, it calculatesvery fast and end simulation successfully

when i design my own project it takes a lot of more time and somethimes fails

ie : abnormally termination

i checked all the settings , and, i think, are the same of the examples(similar to my project ),what i do wrong ?

bye!!

Re: CST very slow

It usually happen when the mesh is not correct or port is not defined properly. its better if u upload ur project.

Re: CST very slow

this is a project im working on

its very slow on calculation

the ports are well set ?
and lumpedelements?

itwas optimized in microwave office, then exported in CST by a DXF layout file

at this point another questionis : what are the settings in CST that simulate at best the settings in MWO ?

tnx for youranswer

Re: CST very slow

hi,

did you solve this problem or do you still need help with it?

aw

Added after 8 minutes:

hi again,

there are two things here

the ratio limit is quite high - time step is small since unecessary mesh points are used due to the cad import - try ratio limit 10

you've also set lines/wavelength = 8 - this should never be done - the wavelength sampling lower limit should always be at least 10

it seems to be fast enough (for the first mesh adaption pass.....)

good luck!

Re: CST very slow

tnx for answer

so it can be said that the big number of meshes depended by the cad import from microwave office to CST

if i design it directly to Cst it will be more fast ?

where can i check value of timestep ?

bye, however tnx

Re: CST very slow

The mesh also depend upon the span of frequency u want to run the simulation.
