Hi all,

I have proble to desing the patch antenna edge feeding condition is that feed element is at the edge and microstrip radiator is at the it is Square patch.

so i want some starting step and basic equation for the transmission line model

patch antenna

hi vishal

First design the antenna for width and length and take size of antenna L * L.

for finding the feed point
1. draw equivalent circuit for the antenna for TLM
2. find the characteristic impedance of transmission line.
3.find point x where you feed the element by radiation resistance.
4. find the width of feed element.

if you have further query then write on my email so i send some basic tutorial on it it you want...!

you can go through the book microstrip antenna design handbook and microstrip antenna handbook for the design the antenna by the trasmission line theory.

* W: 41.08 mm
* L: 41.08 mm
* lqw: 24.05 mm
* wqw: 0.72 mm
* l50: 15.00 mm
* w50: 4.84 mm

go through this site for this parameter and you can find the very good desing on patch antenna
