Hi Guys,

I have worked on verification of ASICs for 6 months and now I moved to a small company which work on FPGAs. And Iam working for FPGAs Verification. Will it affect my career in any way, if I want to switch for ASICs verification or design or anything with ASICs in future? Will it make any difference?

Please suggest me. I need your help badly.

Thanks in advance.
JM

I don't think it'll matter that much...but just keep yourself updated with what happens in both tracks...you didn't become an accountant for instance :D

If you are in verification, ASIC or FPGA doesn't bother much

So, you will get knowledge on both FPGA and ASIC. It is very good.
In the mean time you have to study the basics of digital design, so that you can go for design too..

it does'nt matter ,
but the difference in two verification approaches will depends on flow charts (ASIC& FPGA)
so u can better exposed to both
