could any one give me the brif discription about what is the DualCore architecture invented by Intel?

dual core is the architecture that puts 2 core of cpu into one chip and in one chip there is two cpu that both of them working together and there must be a mechanisim that could manage them for efficient use and schedual them to work and incorporate to execute programs.
