sum of products to product of sums

hi... can any one tell me why sop is oreffered over pos...

SOP USES NAND NAND implementation... where as POS uses NOR NOR implementation...since NAND gates are faster than NOR gates SOP is preffered over POS>>>

why NAND gates are faster than NOR gates...?
 

In cmos implementation of NAND gates two PMOS are in parallel... whereas in NOR gate two PMOS are in series...since PMOS is slower due to lower hole mobility...NOR gates are slower...

sop is easier to write and is directly compatible with Karnaugh
it's the easy way to work with truth table and karnaugh map
 

read morrismano to understand SOP and OPS
 

what is OPS.....? is it any form of representation...
