how can I use the lcd (new user)

I dont know how to use lcd 2-raws . i tried to make a circuit using pic 16f877a but always i failed in most cases it is not working but in the best case only the lower raw is dark i dont know what to do please help
 

whats your Compiler do u program in C or ASM ?

you may need to read the datasheet of lcd carefully
besides the timing is important

I am using 16F877a pic and LCD, i have a file "lcd.h "for this microcontroller, if you want please tell me, i will send you next time. My computer is being broken and i am using live linux cause i cant send you now
