hi all;
what is a front-end amplifier??
where we use it??
if we dont need to convert frequency why do we need it then???

waiting for ur replies!!

enjoy...

Front-End amplifiers are not used in converting the frequency, this is a next stage.
Front-End amplifiers are mainly used to improve the signal to noise ration at the receiver. The received signal suffers from attenuation and distortion all the way from the transmitter to the receiver. So, you need to rebuild or at least amplify the signal before any reqiored processing.

Hope this helps.

yes thats true.. act i format it differently..
what i was thinking.. if next stage is not frequency converter then is there need of having front-end amplifier??? for filtering purpose too u need not require this block?? can u explain again??
