what is Modelsim SE EE PE ??

can somebody tell me the differences between ModelSim SE EE PE ?
And equally which of them is supirior.

If you go to there website, they have some on-line tools to show you the difference.

Bottom line is you should only buy what you need. Some products have the ability to do SystemC debugging and code writing, state machine generation etc. If you do not need these items, then buying the higher level versions is not worth it. Some versions allow both VHDL and Verilog and even allow you to mix them in a single project. If you only need one language, you can sometimes save money but choose a more limited version.
 

SE is the full-featured version. It cost about $20K a few years ago. Does anyone know the current prices?

The less-expensive versions use to have limited project size, and ran a lot slower than SE. Is that still true?
 

i dont know about the price, but SE still runs faster than the others!

Modeltech insert wait state for pe so it run slower. Many EDA company play this trick to lower the entry level product price but charge premier price for less price sensitve customer.
