TTL circuit

In what output state does a TTL circuit sink current from a load

Re: TTL circuit

Current can only be sunk to a LOW ..

Re: TTL circuit

As the name suggests, current sink must enable a path for the current to ground.
Hence logic LOW..

TTL circuit

LOw or logic "zero" state

Re: TTL circuit

as you say "CURRENT SINKING..!!"
means sinking of current or simply providing a path to the current from the load to ground...
so the the logic level of the ic must be low or GND

Re: TTL circuit

Hi Dear mohsin_kiet!

I know one condition. If a load is not grounded and it is connected to VCC, the TTL will draw current from it. An application of such configuration would be the connection of a load to an open collector TTL package.

Thanks!

Re: TTL circuit

A load of a TTL can be a resistor, a capacitor, or a current source. You will refer to a electrical characteristics part of a TTL Datasheet. They specify the test conditions and limits of a TTL.

Re: TTL circuit

Like any analog circuits TTL may have load connected from output to ground, from Vcc to output (open colector or push-pull configuration) or both.

So, the answer could be different for different configurations.
