matlab circuit simulation

I think the spice just solve the equations. and matlab can do it too.
can matlab be used in the analog circuit simulation? how?
thanks.

circuit simulation matlab

No not reallly!

Spice is doing netlist parsing, built matrix stamps, have special sparse matrix routines, doing partial matrix update, and ......

So it would be unefficient not to reuse the great code from the 70's.

But matlab is a very good tool to make all required dimensioning calculation required for the devices. In the past ther where some tries to do analog IP's with built in spreadsheet. That is more efficient with matlab. You can use also matlab then to write a netlist, or set the parameters in the schematic system. Often designers make hand calculation on paper for the dimensioning and investigation and take that paper with them to home or from company to company. If you have that in matlab you can share it easy and automate most stuff.

of course, matlab can do it. I remember I have seen a book for simulation circuits using matlab.

but I think it is more complex to use matlab to simulate circuits

circuit simulation using matlab

Yes MATLAB can do this? This is the book:

spice matlab

System level : Yes.
Circuit level: Err..., very difficult. You have better not to do it by matlab, but if you have strong intention, it can be done.
After all, simulation is just solving the math equations, so you can do it by any equation solver, no matter it is analog or not. If you want to, you can also use MathCAD, Mathematica, Maple and even Excel to do your simulation. Moreover, if you are familiar with numerical analysis, you can write your own simulation software.

matlab circuit design

There is a toolbox (Simulink) in Matlab for Analog circuits.
The problem is its not that accurate and very slow compared to other analog circuits softwares

matlab analogue simulation

I think the main problem is Matlab is like BASIC language, a explainative language. But spice is a compiled program, it must be much faster than Matlab.

Yes ,but behavior model, if you want more accurate model, download or wirte them.
