Dear all,

I have a wonder, where should the .cdsinit file be put? Should it be in the ~/.cdsinit ? or in the PDK directory?

I found a file named .cdsinit in the $CDSROOT/dfII/local/samples/cdsinit .. I think it should be copied somewhere, right? Where exactly?!

Thank you all in advance,
Ahmad,

If you look inside the cdsinit file, you will find information about what is to be done with it.

This file can be copied into a users home or project directory
and customized.

The site initialization file in <cds_install_dir>/local/.cdsinit should
set all the defaults for the site.

For more information on site initialization look at the files

<cds_install_dir>/samples/local/
cdsinit
aaConfig.il
dciConfig.il
metConfig.il
sysConfig.il
uiConfig.il

The sample site initialization file supplied is

<cds_install_dir>/samples/local/cdsinit

The site administrator should have moved this to

<cds_install_dir>/local/.cdsinit

and customized it.

i think there can be many versions and when the tools start it loads them one after another.

.cdsinit should be put into your home directory to initiate your envirment.
