When I use icfb to open cadence, the default simulation tool is digital. If I switch thr simulation tool to analog, it stops. I use ic154.

In .bashrc file did you assign

CDS_Netlisting_Mode="Analog"

??

Thanks for suggestion. I added CDS_Netlisting_Mode="Analog" in csh file. However, nothing changed. I found out that if I waited for 20 minutes, it eventually opened the simulation environment menu. It is due to Java needed by Scanwave. If I run scanwave in terminal, it opened immediately. In Cadence website, it said the bug was fixed in the ic51 USR1. I used IC5141 USR3. It is possible to set the default waveview to AWD instead of Scanwave?

It is possible to set the default waveview to AWD instead of Scanwave?

Session -> Option -> Waveform Tool

change to AWD

Save State

After that when you will Load State the AWD option will be autoloaded also.

Another way: after change to AWD try to save Session in CIW. But I didn't try this way for AWD, so I am not sure.

Which OS do you use ?? Cadence recommends RH WS 3.0 only and that's why some compatibility problems may occur..

I use mandriva Linux 2006 since my PC only has one SATA drive and I would like to have dual-boot Windows and Linux. For some unknown reason, I could not boot the Windows if I install the Red-Hat Enterprise 3.

Hi

I think if you are using csh rather than bash, then you have to omit the equal sign '=' from your .cshrc file, i.e. let it like that: CDS_Netlisting_Mode "Analog"

I hope it work then..
Best Wishes,
Ahmad,
