installscape

Does anyone know how i fix this? I get no GUI and it just goes to command line.

Extracting InstallScape version
for platform lnx86 in /opt/InstallScape
./SETUP.SH: line 814: uncompress: command not found

Starting up InstallScape in GUI mode

DISPLAY environment variable is set to :0.0

If you do not see the InstallScape console
window or the it seems to be hanging then kill this
process.

Set your DISPLAY environment variable to a proper
value and manually start InstallScape by typing:
/opt/InstallScape/iscape/bin/iscape.sh /opt/cadence/IC610_lnx86.Base/CDROM1:::/opt/IC610

Thanks

ic610 installation

u may make so
ln -s gzip compress
ln -s gunzip uncompress

how to install uncompress on rhel

download the uncompress rpm package from internet and install it. and then your problem can be addressed.

install ic610 on centos 4

rt,you should install the program "ncompress",you can find it in ur CD/DVD ROM

install installscape

why not edit the setup.sh file and replace every instance of uncompress with ungzip (as gzip has full read support for ncompress *.z compressed files), allso if you're installing as a diferent user like root first in a console execute the command
(user@linux>xhost +) wich wuld allow evry user to gain acces to the x server othervise some gui setups might faill if you run them as root

installscape download iscape.sh

run ln -s /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress

Added after 3 minutes:

run ln -s /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress

installscape download

Is there any easy way to install ic610 without Installscape. like previous version, only using softload?

uncompress command rhel

maybe softload 6.0 can work.i have tried, but failed with mount point err.

ncompress rhel download

the softload program is no longer supported

install error ic610

$ ln -s /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress

the above solution worked
thanks all

installscape

it works ,what about DISPLAY ?

red hat enterprise linux ic610

for config licence.dat needed ??

installing installscape

turn to RHEL 5 or higher seems good to your problem.

installscape download latest version

You are on lnx86 platform
InstallScape version
for platform lnx86
is available on this CD.

Do you want to install InstallScape for lnx86[y/n]:y

It is recommended that you install InstallScape
outside the Cadence installation hierarchy
and include the ~iscape/bin in your PATH environment variable.

Type the path to InstallScape installation directory [ (q to quit)]: /cad/is

I was installing this as a Root and I have trieved downgrading the tar, that also resulted in same error.
Tried with fedora 7, 8, Ubuntu 9, Mandriva 2009, and slackwire. Nothing could actually solved this.

i complete insatll ic610 and 613 on RHEL 5.4(Tikanga) and mmsim61

but when i run icfb& or virtuoso
error:
