I found on an online store this capacitor, but no specification about the manufacturer.
The symbol looks like a hitachi product. So I searched on the hitachi's website but I didn't found that marks.
Is this a fake? Can I use it for an amplifier power supply?
Many thanks. Peace.

Re: Unknown capacitor

It looks real. It is Hitachi but they have probably not made these type for a while. It looks like they have moved on to a HA series.

I think it would be a low risk to use. I would not design into a product but if its for your own use then I would go for it if the price is right.

good luck

Re: Unknown capacitor

It is definitely from Hitachi. Regarding your search on WEB SITE, some times the product is not for open market but made for specific demand and the surplus is supplied to end users market. It may be the same which you found on the store.

Re: Unknown capacitor

Many thanks to all of you. I conclud that is a hitachi's cap, too. But I also found out the sizes of these caps: about 4 inchies (height) and 2,34 inchies (diameter).
So, if I use 2 of these, no more space for the amp itself. :D
