hi everybody. i have a question.

what about the circuits that programmes the microcontrollers

(PIC,8051,AVR) via an appropriate softwares through Serial, parallel or USB ports?

i mean, Can't we compose our own programmer circuit?

What is the point about them?

Yes, PIC programmer circuits can be easily found everywhere.

but microcontrollers like MSP 430, ADUC, AVR programming circuits are rare.

what is the sense to build our own programmers without looking any other samples?

thanks in advance..

Try to rephrase your question, it is quite confusing to understand.

The way I look at it, you are asking why some micros have very few programmer circuits in the net.

One of the reasons can be availability of the microcontroller and also its packaging. It may be available but you cannot use it on a breadboard.

AVR I think is not one of rare micros nowadays.

You can build your own programmer if the microcontroller manufacturer provide the programming protocol and algorithm otherwise you need to buy it from them.
