IR drop value

Hi,
I use smic13 library doing place and route, when I do rail analyze,I according to
the voltage value of worse case and typical case,so I set 120mv.But I look other
paper, sugger to 60mv,are them standard value?how to decrease the IR drop?

IR drop value

try 120mv first ! do your PR ,then try another value !Try is the most important rule!

Re: IR drop value

Thank you, When I set 120mv the result is satisfied. Is it OK?

Re: IR drop value

it seems that 120mv is too large, I think 60mv

is a preferred value. you can add power pads on

the peripheral of chip to lower power network's reslistance.

best regards

Re: IR drop value

It also depends on the process u r using. For TSMC CL013LV process 120mv is very high and for CL013G it is fine
