I have simulated a mushroom like EBG structure in HFSS V9.2. I illuminated the surface by a incident wave. But I don't know how I can see the reflection phase results. Does anyone here give me some suggestion?

Many, many thanks

Gao

Re: EBG refection phase

As far as I know, HFSS10 is computing the reflection coefficient based on Pointing vector (power) definition and as such it gives only the magnitude of the reflection but it doesn't compute its phase. To compute the phase and magnitude, you would probably need to write your own script (in VBScript) and execute it using HFSS.

EBG refection phase

Thanks, ^_^

Re: EBG refection phase

I remember you can download a powerpoint in ansoft's website about the reflection phase of the EBG surface. You can extract the phase information by using "field calculator". Hopefully it will help.
