hi i am adnan student of telecommunication eng. i think you can work on fft algorithms or PLC .if ur interested in the the image processing ur can work on linear predective coding and invent the new methods for removing the noise
 
dsp project germany

Hello friends, i also want to do my senior year project in DSP. I am doing BSc Computer Engineering. Has any body worked on FPGAs and VLSI implementation of DSP algorithms. Can i get some good ideas on these lines.

dsp kit base tellecommunication projects

Here are some ideas from my side: (I've done a project on Texas Instrument's C6711 based DSP Starter Kit TMS320C6711 DSK and currently working on my very own Spartan 3 1000k gates FPGA 8) )

1. VOICE SCRAMBLER
With voice as input, the o/p can be unscrambled voice (based on the user switch settings) The user switches are used to determine whether or not to up-sample.

2. PHASE LOCKED LOOP
software based linear phase locked loop

3. Adaptive Temporal Attenuator
suppresses undesired narrowband signals to achieve a maximum signal-to-interference ratio.

4. IMAGE PROCESSING
a. edge detection : for enhancing edges in an image using Sobe's edge detection
b. Median filtering : nonlinear filter to remove noise spikes in an image
c. Histogram Equalization : to make use of image spectrum
d. Unsharp masking : spatial filter to sharpen image
e: Point detection: for emphasizing single-point feature in image

5. FILTER DESIGN

6. FSK MODEM ( i did this)

7. u-LAW FOR SPEECH COMPANDING

8. VOICE DETECTION AND REVERSE PLAYBACK

9. ACOUSTIC DIRECTION TRACKER

10. MULTIRATE FILTER

implementation of dsp in smile detection

Hi,

For making projects in DSP, you can also refer to TI site, www.ti.com

In the knowledge base of this, you will find many gud application notes.These notes, takes up any one problem, discuss it & provides solution to it.Also, some appnotes also have source code attached with them. MOreover, they uses TI CCS(Code Composer Studio), which is available for free download (evaluation version, 30 days) from TI site.

You can try to interface C6713 with a CMOS camera in order to use it as webcam!!!

Now i have select the project on DSP it is DSP based text to speech converter, but now i m getting confusion about database , can any one help in this context

- communications projects building FM, AM or DSSS systems.

YOU SHOULD BE DOING THE PROJECT OF:

REAL TIME IMPLEMENTATION OF ADAPTIVE MULTIRATE (AMR) SPEECH CODEC ON TMS320C5416.

I M ALSO DOING MY PROJECT IN THIS FIELD, I THINK ANY PROBLEM REGARDING THE PROJECT CAN BE DISSCUSSED, IT WOULD BE BEBEFICIAL FOR BOTH OF US. ITS UPTO YOU, WHAT U WANT.
