PIN diode model

Hi

I have ti design a switch with PIN diodes. When I look at the datasheets for PIN diodes I can see how the series resistance(Rs) and Cj and other parameters are specified. As far as I can see these are given at one or two frequencies or some curve explaning how the series resistance change with bias. My question is, is it possible to build a model(SPICE or some other kind) from these quantities given in the datasheet.

I have attached the PIN diode datasheet from Microsemi.

Thank you

Re: PIN diode model

Using the data in the datasheet to extract the parameters in the diode model. There is a standard way of doing that. The details are attached.

Re: PIN diode model

Hi and thanks for the reply.

I also found two application notes from Ansoft that used the same method. But when I try this method and exctract the DC parameters: N, Is and Rs and then put these into a diode SPICE model. I do not get the same result as in the datasheet. So my question is, how precise is this method and should you get a very close result compared to the datasheet.

Regards
