If you mean simulation ,you can save the tran result and do FFT on this data.

abm integrator orcad

I thought that there's a built-in Simulink block called "VCO" but i searched for it, and didn't find it,

then, I have another problem now, how to build a VCO block in Simulink?!

how are you abdulghani?!!
you can use orcad; there is library called ABM,,contains summer,,multiplier,,integrator....etc,,,,you can simulate the vco behavioural,,,also ,, there is library that contains vco in orcad,,, "ana_misc"

also; in matlab, use:

pulse generator--->vco--->zero-order-hold(put parameters 1024 instead of 128)------->spectrum scope,,,,,,,,,,search for the blocks in libraries

Alhamdulillah tamaam ya 7eseen :) .. el-mohem...
I think that if i did so, then i won't obtain a large signal model of the vco but linear model, am i right?

Thanks,
Ahmad,

Thanks,
Ahmad,

well,, you will obtain large signal model,,,as it can operate in time domain,,,linear model is this like phase model as in lectures of dr. khaled sharaf which has no time domain analysis i.e. you cant enter time sources,,,in general,,,,large signal model ,,,is the model which you can put instead of it a schematic while maintaining the same pins usage,,,only it will deviate from ideality

i think so

Hi,
First connet the vco output to an filter and then connect to the FFT scope, you can choose the filter bandwidth and choose the windows in FFT scope.
