IC Application Engineer vs IC Design Engineer

Hi, I think the word design engineer just sound a bit classy. Many graduates has the perception that a design work would be challenging, but judging from the replies, i noticed that being an application engineer might be more interesting that a design engineer. to be quite honest, before reading this post, i would have chosen to be a design engineer. reading it changes my mind. I do appologize if it's irrelavant
