i want to know some applications of decoder and encoder(digital blocks)
we can say that mux can be used as function generator,parallel to serial converter'
like that i want to know about decoder and encoder working and applications
 

applications of decoder

You can start learning encoders by designing a priority encoder. a priority encoder is that you have to design a encoder for a 4 X 3 keypad of which no two keys can be simulteanously activated.

So that you can practice how to use decoding try to design the Seven segment driver. its a very good exercise. That is 4 bit code to LCD display.
