MPLAB simulation issue, as it doesn set bit 0 of PORTA

mplab problem

Simulating the following in MPLAB v7.20 debugger doesn't set bit 0 of PORTA of 16f877A.

clrw
bsf STATUS, RP0
clrf TRISA
bcf STATUS, RP0
bsf PORTA, 0
retlw 0

Everything else works fine.
Anybody?

did u forget to configure ADCON ??? put 0x07 in the register
