Hey hope everyone is having a healthy day!

What is PWM Controller?Does it control the output voltage? How can I control the voltage?
I want to design an AC to DC Converter with 115AC ,400hz and single phase input. The ouput should be 5volts regulated and percentage load regulation should be 0.05% and AC ripple ouput should be 0.5 and it has 100W ouput power with 85% efficiency.I want to design AC to DC Converter .with a PWM COntroller .How does this PWM help me,does it give the current I need or the voltage I expect?

Slow down there! You don't know what PWM is, but you're ready to design a 100W switching power supply? Based on your question, it's apparent you need to learn a lot more before you try and design something as complex as a switching supply.

Search the internet, there's plenty of information on switching regulators, buck-converters, etc.

Hi,

I recommend the same.

Start with the simple things. Do a search "what is PWM?"
There are a lot of well explained application notes...and even videos.
Use simulators for the first tests, they won't explode ;-)

Additionally, there are very nice courses that you can take that will help bring you up to speed very quickly.

You can take a look at "Power Electronics Specialization" at Coursera.org.

Sir, attached is an LTspice sim of your 5v, 20A converter. It uses n pwm controller chip.
LTspice is free.
Convert file to ".asc" and run it on ltspice should you wish to do so

Thanks alot for the advice

Hi,
There are a few tutorials and technical notes available here on converter basics: https://kb.imperix.com/x/gAQM
If you have Simulink or Plecs, there are a few sample files as well.
Matt.
