Hi,

I'm having difficulty in configuring a FEM (or MoM) simulation in ADS for different via models. One model has 2 ground/stitchting vias, and the other doesn't. For the model using 2 stitched vias, I've connected the ground pins to top and bottom of them, as shown in the image attached. However, the model with no vias, I've tried different points for the ground pins but I haven't been convinced with the results, as I expected them to show worse results than the via model using 2 ground vias.

Can anyone provide any guidance and insight on the best way to approach this problem? Either through FEM or MoM.

I've attached 3 images: 2x of different models layout, 1x TDR response.

Thanks!

Can you also attach a snapshot of Port configuration? I am interested to know how you are associating ground pins with Port P1-P4

Hi,

See the attached image. I haven't got a port config for the via model without ground vias, as I'm not sure how to configure them.

Thanks,
