size of a solar cell

would like to know the size of a solar cell with specifications 3.6v,300mA(required to charge a cell phone to replace the lithium battery) and also like to know the difference between a solar panel and solar cell, size of a solar panel for the same specifications

Re: size of a solar cell

For 3.5V@350mA you will need 7 cells of ca. 35mm x 55mm .. and this is assuming that you are working close to midday fully exposed to the Sun ..
These 7 cells you can call a solar panel ..

Sizes against mA you can find here:

I wanted to know if any other cell is preferred over lithium cell in the cellular phone? And if not, what are the advantages of lithium over other cell. Please help.
