I have a little confusion that connection of two RS-232 ports is possible with single microcontroller ? Bcoz I have to take input from PC to controller nd then output of controller to Zigbee via serial port. :thinker:

Thanks for replying...I will try to connect two ports with single 8051 on GPB.

Hi,
Connect the TX pin of the PC to 12th pin of max232 & RX pin of the zigbee to 11th pin of max232.

Acyually I have GPB for 8051. 8051 connected with one RS 232 port in one pcb connection. From that port I can connect PC to 8051 for receiving data written on PC. Now I want to send same data to RS 232 of ZigBee module. My confusion is that can I send data to another RS 232 port with Tx pin connected to that RS232 which is used for sending data to ZigBee while at a same time Rx pin of 8051 is connected to first RS 232 which takes data frpm PC?. If this connection is not possible then Can I connect Rx pin of ZigBee directly to the Tx pin of 8051? Because I only seen connection from RS 232-Max 232-ZigBee . If only interfacing of ZigBee with RS 232 is possible then I have to implement same 8051 with two different RS 232 ports , one with Rx pin of 8051 and second with Tx pin.

Can I connect Rx pin of ZigBee directly to the Tx pin of 8051

if you looked at the links which i provided in my early post you might get your solution.yes you can connect Rx pin of ZigBee directly to the Tx pin of 8051 if you don't want to communicate zigbee with PC and want to use with controller which is your case.

Thank u so much for this information. I will work accordingly. :)
