Can any one suggest me that how I can interface GSM and GPS both with 8051 microcontroller using Tx and Rx pin of them..
need circuit diagram or c code for them..
I want to send GPS data by GSM module as a message..

Please..:-(
 

just connect the tx pin of the microcontroller to rx of the gsm

and tx of the gps to rx of the microcontroller......

receive the data from the gps and send it through gsm........

if i also want to transmit from gsm to microcontroller then and rest operation will be same then how to connect both gsm and gps with microcontroller using tx and rx pin........

yes i think the same we need a controller pin to control the communication with gsm or gps but donot know how to implement it....
 

which the microcontroller you are using and what is the project name.........
 

just connect the tx of the microcontroller to rx of gsm and

rx of microcontroller to tx of gps..........
 

sir, actually i have alrady mentioned that i want also to transmit data from gsm modem to microcontroller so both tx and rx pin will be used for gsm modem...in such case how i will connect the gps modem to microcontroller as both tx and rx pin has already been dedicated for gsm modem..please guide me ..
 

yes it will be easily done if i would go for another microcontroller which is having 2 uart...but i want to know that how to interface both gsm and gps with at89s51or s52 plz guide me ...
 

i interfaced both gsm and gps with at89s52, but i didnt read the messages from the gsm

if u want to read the data both from gsm and gps then i would prefer u use the mux................
 

can we connect the rx pin of gps reicever with any of pin of mcu (except p3.0 and p3.1)..and receve the rs232 frame bit by bit with appropriate delay...will it be possible ...please guide me.........
 

Sir, if we r using mux ,how many no. of bits will we define and how will we be able to know when to select the wich one...plz guid me
 
no need to use any mux just simply connect gsm modem to mcu i/o pins and by using carry bit recieve every bit and by using appropriate delay u can recieve the data without using the tx and rx pin.
