Hello Friends,
I am doing a GSM based project and using M10 GSm module for sending & receiving sms, I want to know what is the minimum signal strength for sending/receiving sms. when I send "AT+CSQ" command to the module ....it returns

+CSQ: 10,0

OK

As you can see that the signal strength is 10. So is it a good strength or worst

Thanks

Value:

+CSQ: 10,0

is low signal level, and represent lower limit of signal strength, best is to have 30 (53dBm) or more.

Higher number is better, number below 10 is bad.

Check device spec and manual, also try other locations for usage.

I feel that this signal strength(10) is ok for sending and receiving sms.

I also have another doubt, when I am sending sms I wait for '>' after issueing AT+CMGS command. if within 3 sec I don't receive this symbol I issue <ctl+z> but the module give +CMS ERROR: 3765(which means invalid input), what should I do in this case. should I restart the module as the module goes into hang mode.

Also,is this 3 mins Ok to check response
Thanks
