hspice workstation license

hi all,

i notice that under hspui > version , there are two selection

1. hspice.exe
2.hspice_mt.exe

if i select 2. the multiCPU option can be choosen, can anyone tell me what is the different with multiCPU =2 or 3 or more?

thanks in advance

hspice multi cpu

With MultiCPU option you can run your HSpice simulations on different workstations at the same time. It takes less time to finish them.

hi pantic,

i'm quite interested in multicpu setup in HSPICE too. can you please tell me that:

1.do we need a floating license for the multicpu option?

2. how can run Hspice in two different CPU?

thanks in advance.

regards,
smart

When you say simulate using different 'CPU' at the same time, does this mean using different computers to simulate simultaneously?

If yes, can you post an article explaining on how we setup this?
...My company is using 4 floating license on a server

~this would eliminate my loooonng wait for the simulation to complete during weekends... :p

Aha!
HSPICE is very slow in some case, I use ELDO now! If set tuning=Fast,
Wah, So fast!

hspice is a very accurate simulation for Analog circuit, if you use to simulation a mixed design, it will take more time.
