Hello,

I'm looking for a CPLD that is capable of 5V inputs and can also output 5V...any suggestions?

I guess you would need something old like the Altera MAX 7000 series devices. They aren't very large though. You can probably also still get some of the older 5V Lattice devices as well.

Besides several 5V tolerant devices (5V input) some devices with 5V output voltage are still available, e.g. Altera MAX7000 and MAX7000S (in-circuit programmable) or PALCE devices. But they are rather expensive now, it may be reasonable to use 3.3V devices with level translation.

If you have 3.3V on your board and need to drive 5V TLL, you'll have more options though. Otherwise the MAX7000 and M4A5 devices from Lattice, but they are hard to find ...

I never used Atmel CPLD, but some are even on stock at Digikey. MAX7000 (EPM7xxxS) is available from Altera directly.

The Xilinx XC95xx devices are using 5v I/O

As FvM suggested, you could consider using level translators. They are fairly easy to work with.

Today, most distributors have 5 V CPLD on stock that are frequently used in active products. But pretty forseeable, the supply will decrease as we go along. Thus I won't consider it for new designs.
