sir i am dng final year proj in robotics , in that simulation . i want information abt serial communication RS232 in matlab . pls give info abt that i need veru soon . help me and if it had programs pls give me

Dear balaji

Here is the coding to transmit a character in matlab

s='A';
s1=serial('COM1','BaudRate',9600);
fopen(s1);
fprintf(s1,s);
fclose(s1);
delete(s1);

sir thank u for ur program but can u explain how serial communication rs232 works in matlab pls dnt mistake me i searched in inter net but i cant able to understand pls explain wat r the functions and it use

Code:
function varargout = axis(varargin)
% AXIS M-file for axis.fig
% AXIS, by itself, creates a new AXIS or raises the existing
%      singleton*.
%
% H = AXIS returns the handle to a new AXIS or the handle to
%      the existing singleton*.
%
%      AXIS('CALLBACK',hObject,eventData,handles,...) calls the local
% function named CALLBACK in AXIS.M with the given input arguments.
%
% AXIS('Property','Value',...) creates a new AXIS or raises the
% existing singleton*. Starting from the left, property value pairs are
% applied to the GUI before axis_OpeningFcn gets called. An
% unrecognized property name or invalid value makes property application
% stop. All inputs are passed to axis_OpeningFcn via varargin.
%
% *See GUI Options on GUIDE's Tools menu. Choose "GUI allows only one
%      instance to run (singleton)".
%
% See also: GUIDE, GUIDATA, GUIHANDLES
