dear all

how to measure the a low current about 50mA to high current about 50A , is it current transformer or shunt resistor , i found the shunt resistor expansive and using CT always use for better for high current

thanks bye

Now-a-days in the market very nice and of good quality Clamp ON meters are available even for DC measurement with adjustable ranges from Low to High. The easiest and trouble free way of measuring current. The shunt resistor is better but needs extensive efforts and time consuming along with a High Cost process.

please tell me what is shunt resistor method....and how it is measured

Is hall effect is based on magnetic flux for measurement of current ....:???:

Here is the procedure of measuring the current with shunt resistors.

Yes Hall Effect is based on Magnetic Flux measurement system.
