The synax is just like ANSI C, but it not run in intel x86 CPU.
Every CPU has it's compiler. For other compiler used for other embedded system.
But mostly they like.
of course there is different, for embeded system, may be it is 16 bit. may be there is no so much memory like PC...

I think Sourcer and Soft-Ice will work.
with Sourcer you can see the asm code more clearly.
and with Soft-Ice you can debug it more easy.

there three files is enough.
you can burn the three file to CD and. hange the CMOS setting to boot the PC from CD-ROM, and you can install it now.
or if you have windows in you pc, you can put the three file in the root...

if you have installed the Linux and windows two OS.
you can boot the used the wiindows floppy disk, and run the
command fdisk/mbr to recover the to recovey the mbr.
and you can restart the windows, used the disk tool to format the linux partion.
or if you just install Linux...
