I think you are using IBM cms9flp for design
Try creating a new library from "IBM_PDK -> Library -> Create" in CIW instead of creating libraries from library manager.
I got the same problem but it worked for me if libraries were created from the IBM_PDK menu.
zack
I am using virtuoso in Cadence 6 drawing layout.
But the "gravity on" option in Options -> Layout Editor can not be disabled.
Every time I uncheck it and save it, when I go back to the layout window and click on "copy", the gravity turns back to "ON" again.
Does anyone have the same problem...
Re: 2.4GHz PA
2 stage (class A + class AB) only gives my output power around 17dBm.
I added the third stage, and I can boost my gain to 20 dBm, but the harmonic
distortion drops to -26 dBc.
Does anybody have any suggestion?
Thanks!
Re: 2.4GHz PA
Thanks!
I am trying to achieve this by two stage class AB now.
Added after 1 minutes:
Thanks vfone.
But I am doing a course design project.
Re: 2.4GHz PA
Actually, I just started to design this PA, and I am still not sure which topology to use.
Just somebody told me Wilkinson will give a very good performance...>_<
The spec of the PA are

Hi,
I am recently designing a PA using Jazz SBC18PT design kit in ADS.
The topology is to sum the power by Wilkinson power divider and combiner.
But I don't know how to do design the divider and combiner in ADS.
Which component I should use for transmission line during simulation?
Thanks!
In 2nd edition, chapter 15, page 498
It is said if there is a current i_d = i_rf×sin(ωt) for i_d > 0
the "fundamental component" of i_d is equal to
(2/T)×∫i_rf×sin(ωt)sin(ωt)dt from 0 to (T/2)
I know it's a little difficult to understand my equation.
What I want to ask is why finding a...
I am simulating the conversion gain of a 2.45GHz LNA by ADS.
1.Find out output power(dBm)@2.45GHz from output spectrum
then substract specified input port power(dBm)
2.S21 by S-parameter analysis
3.Measure Vout and Iout @2.45GHz then calculate
PowerOut(W)=0.5*real(Vout*conj(Iout))...
Re: noise figure
According to ali_desidero
If this is really the definition used in ADS, then we should use nf1 right?
I am having the same problem now.
But I am simulating NF for LNA.
Q's of On-chip L and C
I am designing a source inductance degeneration narrow band LNA using 0.35u Jazz SiGe BiCMOS process in ADS.
I'd like to know the Q of a certain component by ADS.
Does anyone know how to do that?
Re: Unity gain frequency
Actually, in this example, it is given that
Leff = 0.35um, W = 500um, Cox = 3.8mF/m^2, Id = 5mA
I used mobility = 0.0463m^2/V*s and saturation current formula
to get "gm" and use Cgs = (2/3)*Cox*W*L to get "Cgs"
then use gm/Cgs to calculate unity gain frequency.
the...
