    "Raining" detector

It will be better if we could detect rain 'without measuring the amount of rain'. How does piezoelectric transducer in modern telephone ringer looks like? Method by ASULAB is good. Any other ideas? Thanks.

    "Raining" detector

Has anyone idea on how to build a "raining" detector in such a way that the device will give a signal telling that it's raining outsides the house? Thanks.

USB to SERIAL Converter using PIC

16f628 pl2303 Try USB-RS232 converter from FTDI company. Or, try to use this ucontroller frm microchip: PIC18F4550 "... the availability of three serial ports: FS-USB(12Mbit/s), I²C™ and SPI™ (up to 10 Mbit/s) and an asynchronous (LIN capable) serial port (EUSART)"

    550V/24V DC/DC Converter?

You may consider 'offline smps'. It's possible to find Integrated Off-Line Switching Regulator (e.g. NCP1000, NCP1001, NCP1002, etc) that can function in continuous operation over a wide range of inputs, from 85 Vac to 265 Vac. But 380Vac... err.... may be you still need a step down transformer...

How to increase the volume of a telephone set?

Bought a home telephone set last week. However, I found out the volume of the telephone set is too low or soft. Is there anyway to increase the volume? There is no button for me to increase the volume. Pls advise and thanks in advance. P/S: NOT the ringing volume

    What's the HighSideDriver?

High-Side-Driver is used to drive High-Side-Switch (e.g. mosfet or IGBT), where one end of the switch is connected to Power-Rail, and the other end is NOT connected to ground.

How to eliminate hard switching effects?

If you mean the peak/dip at rising/falling edge of 'switching signal' (PWM signal to gate), then you should add a resistor in series to the gate of the mosfet. If I'm not wrong, larger resistance value will increase the rising time, and therefore reduce the peak magnitude. However, switching...

    which programing language ?

Visual Basic, in my opinion, is the easiet one if you wish to communicate with uC via serial communication. For USB communication, you need a specific driver. You can try using USB-Serial (USB-RS232) chip frm FDTI https://www.ftdichip.com/

Help me store data in a file for KZK equation in Matlab

about Matlab In Matlab simulation, you can save the state of the simulation. This is particular useful when the system resources (e.g. memory) are not enough. In other words, you can divide the simulation into multiple stages. At each stage, you save the result to a different file. After all...
