Short circuit of SCL net..
I have measure its resisitivity on every pin, and:
Entirely connected:
All pins except I2C ones: 0 ohm
SDA & SCK: 10.5 Mohm
Partially connected:
All pins except I2C ones: 0 ohm
SDA & SCK: 20 kohm
Then I have checked all the datasheets from the connector I...
Hi,
- @FvM, hardware is the same, the only modification is the "connection's depth".
- @KlausST, the I2C implementation is done by the MCU manufacturer, I suppose is checked and verified due to is distributed widely. My own firmware are the functions for read & write, maybe it is on my side...
======================= EDIT ==========================
Finally, I can return to my project and continue working on this issue.
I have cut a bit one peripheral board's pins to reduce their length. This does not fix the issue, but reduces the fastening between boards.
In order to make the...
Maybe I was a bit confusing at description. The code compiles well at CCS, the problem is at IAR.
Although I share your opinion about how CCS is accepting that code is incomprenhensible.
I have fixed the errors changing the way I reserve allocated memory with malloc.
Original code:
int16_t...
After developing a new firmware (main and libraries) with CCS for my CC2538, all errors are debugged, and now, device is working fine.
As from CCS I can not flash the firmware permanently, I'm working with IAR to develop this action.
On IAR, I have created the workspace, the project and...
Hi,
@sreepss, I2C lines have 10k pull-up resistors. 10k value is the proposal from the components datasheets. Both board have decoupling caps into their ICs, do you think I should add some caps more?
@hobbyckts, yes, you are right. That is the way that is working now. And if boards are...
Hi,
after having designed some custom PCBs, a main one with an ARM MCU and other peripheral boards. But there is one issue when peripheral boards are plugged into the main one.
Please, let me introduce the issue and the tests I have done, in order to someone can help me to understand and figure...
Thanks all!!
To sum up from answers and readings:
SMT components: 1:1 (included BGAs)
SMT Thermpad (ICs): 1:'x', read datasheet for 'x' recommended value.
THR components: 0, no need of pastemask for through hole components.
Then, in case of need to provide a specific apertures size, stencil...
Hi all,
after finishing some designs, it is time to manufacture and assemble them.
For making these designs I have to create all padstacks, footprints, etc from scratch, so I took PCB Editor examples as guide for doing mine.
Now, when I send the gerbers (etch layers, soldermask, silkscreen...
Hi LTimko,
thanks for your answer but logo is not generated as a solid image yet.
Even when the bmp has already solid characters.
I think it could be due to dxf file properties or similar.
KR!
Hi,
I would like to add full filled shape logo into my PCB design. I can do it if I import it from dxf file, but this is an empty model, so the logo is empty too. Then, at PCB proto is not well drawn.
After having tested several kind of tricks to be able to have the logo as I wanted, I need...
Hi KlausST,
thanks!
From your answers:
Transformer. Are you referring to a power transformer with 12VAC output (secondary)?
Sorry, but I'm not understanding your explanation.
First part is the transformer (from 220VAC to 12VAC), then rectificates to 15.5VDC by the bridge. Is this right...
Next post try to explain the doubts and requirements for designing a PSU which has to power some DC low-power components.
First, of all, the load (DC low-power components) works at 5VDC with a maximum of 1.5A input current.
For this purpose I will place a DC buck converter at the output of the...
