Analog circuit that controls valves for water flow

Dear zsolt1, I can't do this because the unlimited water supply is waterworks , and the second water supply already has a pump but the pump is 1km away from control point at the tank. I have to buy pumps and this is expensive. Currently is the valve switching handled manual by hand, and I want...

Analog circuit that controls valves for water flow

Hi FvM, i like the idea for 3 way motor operated ball valve. I never used them before, does this valve consumes power when opened ? Or it is the power only consumed when opening or closing the valve? I found this one on ebay and it's price is not to high **broken link removed** what do you...

Analog circuit that controls valves for water flow

I was looking at the latching solenoid valve but they are expensive. Do you maybe know some cheaper latching solenoid valve? also here is one non latching **broken link removed** If my calculation are correct and using two of them it will consume 90kWh in one year. Best Regards.

Analog circuit that controls valves for water flow

Dear all, I'm trying to design some analog circuit for water vale control, here is the simple block schematic: So the idea is: we have two independent sources of water and one tank and we want to fill the tank. First we supply the water trough valve1 and measuring the water pressure in...

    optocoupled output circuit

What voltage , the 3.3V to 24V? Can You explain the circuit step bay step please? Best Regards.

    optocoupled output circuit

I'm not 100% sure but the resistor is what the user have to calculate regard the voltage connected to V+ (3,3V to 24V) to regulate the maximum current throughout the transistors. But I'm not sure for what voltage is the 270 Ohm resistor.

    optocoupled output circuit

Dear All, I came across this schematic for opto-coupled output: We have FPGA out 1.8V and resistor 100Ohm to regulate the current for diode from MOCD207-M. I'm not sure how the other side works. 1. How works this circuit? 2. What is the purpose of the diode CDSU4148-HF? 3. What will happen...

Fuse the TVS diode for protection

So this means that the fuse will blow before the TVS? the 200V not normal operation. this only happens if short occurs between the 24 power line and 200V(dc) power line for led.

Fuse the TVS diode for protection

Thanks for the info. But is there a way if i have this slow blow fuse I2t=1.98 A2sec to calculate the proper TVS diode so that the fuse blows before the TVS if there is 200V on power in pin that i protect? (max voltage on power in pin is 24V). Some of this is described her on page 3 but there...

Fuse the TVS diode for protection

1)Power rating of the diode is 600W -> datasheet of the TVS and Fuse attached 2) Those are BLM ferrite beads. The I2t of the fuse is 1.98 A2sec How can I calculate the TVS needed, in the worst case when there are no Ferrite bead only the fuse and the TVS diode? Best Regards.

Fuse the TVS diode for protection

Dear all, I want to protect a circuit that works from following power supply: Input voltage : from 12V to 24V Max power consumption 10W -> Imin=0.4A Imax=0.8A My selected components for: Fuse : littelfuse NANO2 slo-blo 0452001. (1A) TVS : littelfuse SMBJ24A (600W) The questions are: 1) will...

    Power planes in Multilayer PCB

Hi, Some of them will be wires but some will be planes or to say wide wires. I will use a wire if I have to connect one output of LDO to one pin on uP and use plane if i have to connect SW power supply (VNN) to multiple core pins on uP. I have a PMIC and an microprocessor and there are lot of...

    Power planes in Multilayer PCB

HI all, I'm designing a multilayer PCB (12 layer ) and I decided to use layer 5 and 6 for power distribution. So the question is can I put one voltage(eg. 1V) on one plane(eg. L5) and then a second voltage(eg. 3.3V) on other plane(eg. L6) on top of it? OR i have to have GND plane In-between...
