@John
Again many thanks for your reply, very helpful and I have saved the email from the reply for future reference.
Im not much on chemistry so a good explanation on parts of it that apply to electronics are like gold to me :), generally trawling through paths of wikipedia articles gives me...
Thanks Raksha, I think I will go with the IPA and Mik also, the stencils are stainless though, nut I'll be staying away from the NaOH as I jus tfound the cost of getting it!!
Cheers all :)
@John
Many thanks for your reply, very informative
Im not using conformal coating for this but solder mask effects would be of importance... IPA looks like what Iv seen used in industry before. At the moment I just intend to use it for cleaning metal foil stencils so it will probably fit the...
Hi
Thanks for your reply
Ive never used this type of stuff before is it a spray on type use? will it break up large amounts of sticky stuff? or just films?
Many thanks
I actually have some sodium Hydroxide solution available from another lab that is used as a solvent there, though I think this...
Hi Folks
Im just starting to look at building a run of prototypes using solder paste and stencils myself for the first time and am looking for a suitable agent for cleaning the solder paste from the stencil.
I am looking to use a lead-free no-clean paste probably multicore LF318 as it seems up...
I have some DFN package components and two bumped die parts an the board also lots of 0603 passives.
My main worry is the bumped die, they are very small (0805-ish) so the heat dissipates to a point and then they just burn up.
If I can heat the board with the plate, then use a gas gun to reflow...
Hi Folks
My current project has some tricky SMD parts and I think Ill prob need a hotplate.
Now I have hotplates available that are used to heat up liquid solutions in a lab etc but these look different from the type I see on Farnell....
Does anyone know if they will do the same job?
If they...
Hi There
We recently started development with some samples of data delay devices pulse generator 3D7622-2, and are currently troubleshooting one or two little niggles.
In the device datasheet it of course specifies 22 bits serial input register, however I am unsure as to how extra, unused, byte...
Hi Brad, thanks for your reply
I get that the reset signal enables the device, but how does this mean a pulse is generated without a trigger?
thanks for the idea on the NAND/NOR gate. :)
Hi Folks
Im looking at Data delay devices' 3d7622 22-bit programmable pulse gen.
I hope to use to of them to create an oscillator with dual edge variable pulse in a range around 50MHz.
However, fig5 in the datasheet **broken link removed** shows an example of a simpler oscillator, but I do...
Hi thanks
I am trying to keep it low tech, it justs to try out with hardware being developed elsewhere, the I2C master is a USB to I2C COM port connection. So a CPLD and all its accompanying circuitry would be a bit OTT.
Trying to design it in such a way that I can print of a board and plonk...
Have been thinkning about using ECL for a portion of the circuit for the higher PWM ranges
If I get and ECL clock thats about 8x faster then 50MHz, and an ECL 8-bit counter (so the 8x the Fin is canceled out) then I can feed that to a level converter to a binary comparator, comparing with a...
