I've created schematic components with multiple text line descriptions that are aligned to the right side of a rectangle (Altium 18.1.7). Schematic placement looks OK. If I flip the component (X), that also looks OK. The Left justified text becomes right. Printing is OK.
When I export to...
Using Altium 18.1.7:
If I do a New/PCB, File/Import/Gerber File (file.GTS). I get an image with some of the SMT pads shown only as just dots.
If I just do a File/Open on the same Gerber File the image looks normal with all pads present.
I need to load the file in the PCB mode so Export DXF...
I was able to solve my issue: Starting Altium directly on the Gerber file doesn't offer an DXF export. I was able to start Altium/PCB, then import the Gerber file and then export DXF.
I've copied the contents of a Gerber GM1 file in Altium 18 to Autocad Lt in the past. I no longer remember how I accomplished this simple task. Is there an easy way to transfer a mechanical layer to a dxf file?
