I want to make a high voltage low current fence to protect my farm from animals. Any suggestion circuit for the design. I dont want to hurt the animals.
meaning of rms and pmpo
PMPO is not defined, it's just a marketing value. Some people say, that PMPO is the heat power being dissipated when burning the speaker. That sounds plausible to me.
But I found out for some of Audio amplifier manufacturers defined PMPO as below:
PMPO = (no load peak...
Power dissipated in resistor = Voltage drop across resistor X current flow
Make sure the power dissipated never exceed the power rating of resistor.
Power rating of resistor is based on the size of resistor. Exp the rated power of 0603 resistor is 0.1W.
Re: Junction temperature
Sorry for unclear question. Actually I want to use transistor as a thermal sensor instead of using expensive Thermistor. I want to know more details on the effects of junction temperature on transistor parameters such as hfe and so on...
By using a multimeter to determine the Base, Emitter and Collector of a transistor... What i get is 0.6V and 0.57V... The positive of probe is base, but how to determine the Emitter and Collector.
