    AT91RM9200 board/schematics

at91rm9200 board Hi, I`m looking for a simple board with tha AT91RM9200, or for some reference design schematics. So far I was only able to find an announcment for an Atmel board of $5000,- On the Atmel site no schematics are available. Any suggestions, links ? Whoops

BGA IC`s mounted on a board for REASONABLE cost

I wonder if it`s possible to have BGA IC`s mounted on a board for REASONABLE cost. ( in case of a few pcs ) I head some prices of $170 for one chip...but guess it`s not that much work. Any suggestions ?

Any suggestions for the best ARM7 toolset?

I thought that one difference between the SA110 and the SA1110 was that the SA1110 support breakpoints via JTAG. I guess then some debugging must be possible. but couldn`t find it eather, so I guess it`s not further developed.

Any suggestions for the best ARM7 toolset?

Anyone knows where to get a compiler and debugger with JTAG which works for SA1110 Strongarm ? preferably Cra@cked or free

    Low cost front panels ??

I was talking about really small qty like 1 or 2 pcs. Basically diy is possible, but guess I`m maybe a bit lazy. Often need to have a display and buttons ( rectangle holes ) making them yourself is very time consuming and the result can easily be very poor. I guess the must be some companies...

    Low cost front panels ??

Nowadays there are several pcb manufacturers which can produce pcb`s for prototype for a reasonable price. I was wandering of there are any companies which can make front panels for prototypes. ( printing the text, and cuttong out the holes ) Anybody here knows a company who does ?

    Microcontroller controlled power supply ....

I am planning to build a microcontroller power supply. Should be symmetrical, 0-30V and adjustable current limit.. both voltage and current limit controlled via D/A converters. Anyone out here who already did something like this, or has some suggestions ...

    C166 question about memory

Any C166 users out here who knows the answer ? When the C166 is used with byte wide memories a WRH and WRL signal need to be used to write only to one chip when byte accesses are made. BUT what if a 16 bit wide memory is connected to the cpu ?? In case of a byte write 2 bytes are written at a...

Overclocking the MSP430 - some questions

I tried with and MSP430F149.... at around 9.5 MHZ it starts to work unreliable ( couldn`t program anymore, with Vcc 3.3V ) so it seems there is not so much margin.

what is the most popular ucontroller?

In all the list showed above it`s probably based on sales qty by vendor. But don`t forget that the 8051 is one of the few microcontrollers made by multiple vendors : Phlips Atmel Oki Maxim-Dallas Infineon .... MAybe if you add their 8051 sales together it will beat the rest

    Logic Analyzer with 24 channels

I have built one which was in Elektor a few years ago. Works quite well, except the the software is DOS. Disadvantage is that you have to order 2PLD`s from elektor. Clock speed was 50MHz

Zerocross detection problems ( mains noise )

As zero crossing detector I use a double phase rectifier with two diodes, resultiging voltage applied to a comparator with REF level set low. at the microcontroller I check if the comparator output is low for while to prevent triggering at false edges. This is working now for many years withot...
