Artificial Magentic Conductor (AMC) S parameter issues

i have read few papers of yours about AMC ground plane. I wish to ask you few questions that i hope can clear up my mind. i) what is the reference value for S11 for AMC unit cells? In some papers i read, the S11 is smaller than -10 dB and some are bigger like -2dB (for instance). But as far as...

steady state energy criterion in CST

Drunkbear: i experience the same warning, may i know how u fixed it? i tried the suggested solution, increase pulse no, but still it doesnt help any. (i don think this related to accuracy level) TQ

how to know the inner input impedance of element (in array antenna)? TQ

probe? hurm..ill try... will get back to u soon thx

how to know the inner input impedance of element (in array antenna)? TQ

My question is mentioned in the title? i wnat to try desigining series feed antenna, TQ

do i get the right result for co/cross polar in antenna? im using ludwig3. tq

owh so let say that on two axis at -45 degree, then the projection of etheta is -(Etheta/sqrt(2)) right? and that ephi always have opposite sign (+/-) with etheta? meaning to say, now is +Ephi/sqrt(2) thx a lot for guidance

    Measuring Mutual Coupling

dear volker_muehlhaus: thank for your kind reply.... so its really need 2 ports then..thx for the info... about the use of simulation of antenna w/out feeding network...i get what you mean... but, in my case ...my array have 8 elements with 1 single input port... so what do u think? erm, maybe...

    Measuring Mutual Coupling

i think so too (when patches closer , mutual coupling is exist and significant) BUT many papers i read, all of them speaks on mutual coupling describe in S21..as we know, S21 parameter is from multiport applications.... so i totally out of idea, how to calculate/simulate those mutual couplinga s...

do i get the right result for co/cross polar in antenna? im using ludwig3. tq

hi zorro, thanx again for the reply. my antenna is dual polarized at an angle of 45 and -45 degree (as in attachment PM to you)...could u give further comment based on the image? thanx again, thx so much for the guidance, now i know the co polar component must be allign with the antenna (eg...

do i get the right result for co/cross polar in antenna? im using ludwig3. tq

dear zorro, attach below is my result for co&cross polar at phi 45 and phi -45 could you give some comments? thanks a lot

do i get the right result for co/cross polar in antenna? im using ludwig3. tq

thx for your reply, so i need to take result at angle of 45 degree? i was following with some paper (dual linear slant 45 degree polarization) where they shown result of co & cross polar at phi = 0 degree. i never have tots that it shud be presented at the phi of 45, ok, i will re-upload again...

    Measuring Mutual Coupling

hi, if i use only one port to excite all my array elements, so is there any issue of mutual coupling? S21 or S12 is the result of using 2 port feeding, but how bout if using only single port? i also confius with the terms current density, current distribution and surface current, are they most...

do i get the right result for co/cross polar in antenna? im using ludwig3. tq

im designing dual linear 45 degree slant polarization antenna array i get this result of co/cross polarisation as in attachment is it correct? first diagram is taken at phi 90degree, while the second is at phi 0degree i know that co polar shud be greater than cross polar as cross polar is...

    Reflection phase of PBG structure

i encounter the same prob too when im trying to simulate reflection phase diagram, the error mention "Open pec_ampl_ref_filename For Input As #3" please assist me on what i can do... this problem make me headache... hurm... (FYI im using CST2010, my window at LAB pc is window XP, and my...
