Problem with adding NXP model to ADS 2011 ( searched and tried many way )

I am assuming that anyone designing PA wants to have access into a non-linear model. The only way to access to non-linear models with NXP RF power components (like BLF6G21, BLF881 etc) is using ADS-2009U1 or below. Or MWO.

Problem with adding NXP model to ADS 2011 ( searched and tried many way )

pir0texnik, I don't know if your statement addressed to my post or not. If it is, then you don't read very well.

Problem with adding NXP model to ADS 2011 ( searched and tried many way )

It has been like that for 2 years between NXP & Agilent since the advent of ADS-2011. 2 years are a long time for product support, consider how fast other companies adapt their models to support Agilent. No one gave me a straight answer why these 2 don't work with each other. So I came up w/ my...

    RF coaxial transformer

True there is no DC isolation for this type of balun but a ferrite sleeve around the coax cable (which the diagram doesn't show and is always there) will present a high impedance to isolate the input & output at low frequency dictated by the ferrite material. At higher frequency, it becomes a...

    RF coaxial transformer

I upload some old articles relating to coax transmission line transformer (TLF) for your peruse. That will help later when you can't find the right impedance coax for your design so you have to look for alternatives. Regarding your question, since it only stated the unbalance side & coax Zc...

    RF coaxial transformer

It should be 25 Ohm on each leg as seen from the input.

    RF coaxial transformer

I think it is custom made or you have to build it yourself. It isn't that bad to build one with your frequency spec.

PCB substrate material for 20W RFPA

Thank you Jim. I'm taking a look at it.

PCB substrate material for 20W RFPA

Is there any equivalent option to FR406? I have a hard time to get a sample. I have talked to the OEM rep and he promised to send me some samples. That was a couple days after above my post. Then there is a salesperson called and no follow through. I don't need any freebies and just want to buy...

PCB substrate material for 20W RFPA

My RFPA's bandwidth is from 10MHz to 1GHz at 20W. I'm using Roger RO4350 with aluminum plate attached to the bottom of the PCB for initial design but now I want to change PCB substrate to different material i.e. Isola FR406 due to cost constrain (was quoted $20 a piece RO4350B material for...

What cause my designkit error in ADS?

Did you resolve the issue, TerryADS? I ran into the same problem as yours while using Freescale ADS2006U3_DK with ADS2009U1 for this device MW6S004NT1 and the device is still supported. DC & SP simulation seems to be OK but when I tried to setup loadpull simulation, it will cause the same...

need some guidence about power amplifiers and matching techniques...

I understand your sentiment BigBoss for plenty of people who only want to have quick ready-made answers without bothering to invest any sweats. However, the internet is like an ocean of knowledge and it's very daunting to tumbling forward if one doesn't have an inkling feeling of what to look...
