I am trying to make a good classification of data acquisition systems. What would your ideas be?
I found some classification in this What is DAQ article where they classify them as:
- Turn-key DAQ systems -> e.g. embedded with out of the box SW
- Do it yourself DAQ systems -> e.g. Labview...
I want to know if there any other major type of A/D converters available than the ones mentioned in this article?:
Successive Approximation (SAR) ADC
Delta-sigma (ΔΣ) ADC
Dual Slope ADC
Pipelined ADC
Flash ADC
