Question on the square root raised cosine filter (SRRC)

Re: SRRC question Hi Zorro, You are absolutely right. I agree with all your points.

Question on the square root raised cosine filter (SRRC)

Re: SRRC question Hi zorro, Thank you for your response. I agree with you that the auto-correlation function of the noise at the output of SRRC is 0 at t = nT. But it does not mean the noise samples at the t=nT are not correlated. The auto-correlation of a sampled signal is not a the...

Question on the square root raised cosine filter (SRRC)

Hi DSP experts: I have a question on the square root raised cosine filter (SRRC). Usually SRRC are used on both sides of the Tx and Rx. Given the channel is 1, and additive white Gaussian noise, are the noise samples at the output of the matched filter (SRRC) still white? The output signal...

What is the SNR in this ADC ?

Re: Finding SNR In the WCDMA design. I suggested to use 7 bits A/D given a analog filter with 40dB adjacent channel rejection ratio. The headroom suggested is 12dB. However, some other people suggested to use 20dB of headroom. Do you think it is necessary?

What is the SNR in this ADC ?

Re: Finding SNR It is farely easy. Given the average input power, with Gaussian distribution, you can easily calculate the distortion power due to clipping. In the case of large number of bits in ADC, this will be the main contribution of the noise. The next, if you are still concern about...

What is the SNR in this ADC ?

Re: Finding SNR This is the maximum SNR that you can reach by using this ADC. And keep in mind that this implies your signal has a peak to average power ratio of 0dB. For a Gaussian distributed signal, you have to have a big headroom for the signal not to clip.

do you guys know why company use C++/C to do HWverification?

Re: do you guys know why company use C++/C to do HWverificat We do full verification in C/C++. With systemc, you are allowed to do co-simulation with ISS and HDL models. However, the HDL model usually does not exactly reflects the timing. We may have to change systemc model to adapt to it. By...

SystemC will die? Why, can anybody give an explain?

Just heard Coware got the SPW team from Cadance. Recently, system C got really sucessful. I am looking for some window based systemc simulator with hardware awear tools. Anybody has a clue?

SystemC will die? Why, can anybody give an explain?

SystemC is good for system design. We just had the systemc to design a huge communication system. It is very efficient and the best of all, it can be done by system guys. Now you can co-simulate systemc with SPW and port your exiting design from SPW to systemc.
