Any good Book on Microwave Engineering

microwave communication by sammuel y lio I dont think this book goes into things in very much depth. If you need a good book, try RF Circuit Design by Ludwig Bretchkov. I find this very useful, but it is not in forum or MCU :( rgs Timelord

How to design an RF planar transformer with 2 tapped winding

Planar Transformers Thanks Rayengine. Much appreciated. One question though. In the center tapped model. Do you think the tap would be at the junction of the inner and outer windings? Rgs Timelord

    micrwave circulator ,isolator

DEsigning Circulators It depends on the application how successful you will be. If you can stand a bit of loss in your system then it's OK and you will not spend 6 months trying to optimize it. I have had some success printing ferrite loaded pastes onto ceramic. If you need best performance...

Dielectric constant data As well as rogers, try taconic, Arlon. Find them by using www.google.com. Also query for "duroid" you will get loads of sites to try. Regards Timelord

How to measure the response of resonating line?

Measurement of Er You can also do this most effectively with a ring (for microstrip measurements). The mean diameter of the ring is equal to the guide wavelength. I posted an internet link to NIST recently which contains lots of info on Er measurement. Let me know if you are interested and...
