phase difference between to rectangular pulse trains

Hello, I am recently searching on something similar to this, actually PFD architecture but unfortunately stuck in a very basic issue (due to my poor knowledge in digital electronics). I was going through a document where writer discussed on XOR gate. The document says "XOR response can be...

What is difference between ron and 1/gds?

Re: gds pmos formula I have simulated this for a NMOS, where ro=(1/gds) and ron is from device parameter, clearly both are not same!

Very High Resolution Sigma Delta ADC

don't understand your question :-( if you want to know how ΣΔ works then try some datasheet, if you want designs then I'll try to help you.

Interview questions about Hspice & Spectre

Re: hspice & spectre if you have designed something using hspice then to run it using spectre use following "simulator lang=hspice"

question about PSS analysis and periodic steady state

I liked the section in the designers' guide doc where it says "Periodic and quasiperiodic analyses can be thought of as RF extensions of SPICE’s DC analysis." (page#14) Yes! this would be the simplest answer for what pss and qpss analyses are, Thanks!!!

    Phase lock loop VS PWM

PWM has its use in power supply, where PLL is a communication circuit. In PWM if your input voltage is within specified range it will give fixed output voltage; to get more idea on these find some datasheets definition for PLL, a pll is an electronic circuit with a voltage or current driven...

    Cadence IUS run command Linux

I hope you have all necessary settings in your cshrc file, now if you do which ncsim in your terminal make sure it returns IUS installation path, to work with simulator type just type ncsim <arg1> <arg2>... ; BTW which version are you using?

Help: how to recover files deleted from the library manager in cadence?

when you delete a library from library manager it gets deleted from your disk, if you do not have the write permission in the server location you can give a try by including the library and path again into your cds.lib; let us know your findings.

question about PSS analysis and periodic steady state

    • PSS (Periodic Steady State) analysis: Large Signal Analysis (AC analysis is a small signal analysis). This analysis helps to quickly compute steady state response of a circuit which has a very long time constant, such as oscillators. It sets circuits’ periodic operating point, “After a PSS...
